Now, we write the preference to the database and it will follow you around between browser sessions and computers. Switching back to list view is of course also sticky in the same manner.

The only (brief) moments I've used grid view was for my own page, to look for pics. When i click on a link in grid view, I want to see the stumbler's page in list (normal) view. |

I understand where this comes from. Making it last between browser sessions is something standard among web applications but I agree with anitab, I'm used to the list view and getting stuck in grid view can get annoying. Perhaps a separate feature request?
A drop down in the preference page so that we can choose between persistent and transient? If someone chooses it to be persistent, then it carries from blog to blog. That is, if I'm in grid view on my blog and view someone else's then it's still in grid view. Transient will default back to list view or grid view (whichever I prefer to surf with) |

I get the concept of grid, although I miss the comments so end up switching back to list view myself... |

I have my preferences set to show my own pages without the thumbnails and display others using "use blog owner's settings". What happens though after I visit another members page that has grid view selected is that all sites after that are then displayed that way. I have to manually toggle back to list view, even when viewing my own pages which I have set to display without the thumbnails. Anyone else observing this behaviour? |

Sponsor | | bottletop | May 14, 3:10am | Excuse me but non SU people are having this problem when visiting my pages. They are just seeing the Grid view which looks rather complex and odd to them.Like looking through a keyhole.
I posted this problem under another thread on Beta so I won´t repeat myself here except to ask if I can fix the problem from my pages somehow. I have tried messing about with the grid/list buttons but that has not worked. |
